OHU50K NOTES

This home is made of rusticated concrete blocks, otherwise known as ornamental block, formed block, cast block or rock face block. An inexpensive alternative to stone, it became popular after a molding machine was created by Harmon S. Palmer in 1900. Home builders and home owners could buy these machines from Sears, Roebuck, and Company catalogue. In the early 1900s you could buy a manual machine with eight special molds, attachments and accessories, for $42.50.

This larger than average Ironwood home needs your help to bring it back to it’s prime glory. It’s current condition is rough but the foundation is good, the roof has been replaced, electric is 100amp, but a 200amp service has been started just needing completion, interior has original hardwood floors, original wood work, new furnace and central A/C, with the 2 car detached garage having a separate central heating and central A/C system. The homes walk-up 20×25 attic (not included in homes finished square footage) could easily be made into 2 additional bedrooms or a large master suite. Inside both the home and garage there is building/remodeling materials, vintage electronics, electronic repair equipment and parts, generators, floor jacks / lifts and more. All the personal property and building materials are negotiable. Similar sized homes in the neighborhood have sold for between $80, 000 to $100, 000. Priced for under $40, 000 you can’t go wrong.
