c.1916 Iowa Fixer Upper Craftsman Bungalow Under $50K
OHU50K $49,900
We couldn’t ask for a more serene village location than the one in which this Iowa Craftsman fixer upper bungalow sits. Located on a corner lot, the five bedroom, 1.5 bath home has almost one acre opposite a park and backing up to farmland. The home has some great features, including unpainted woodwork, built-ins, bathroom penny tile floors, original wood windows, hardwood floors and a detached garage. I wonder what the realtor means by, “Prior owner damaged interior.” Was he a negligent homeowner or a destructive one?
Maybe both, but the home certainly has potential!

Realtor Comments
Here’s a genuine DIY fixer -upper! It sits on one of the most beautiful lots in Ellsworth since it’s location is across from Ellsworth City Park and the 300′ deep lot butting up to a field gives you quietness and privacy yet good access to I-35. This lot could actually be split into two and the north lot sold. Prior owner damaged interior, but if you have the ability to renovate this all wood floor house, it could either become a nice rental property or perhaps even your home!
