Family History

This was the home of Coe I. Crawford (1858-1944). Mr. Crawford was a lawyer, governor of South Dakota from 1907-1909, and U.S. Senator from 1909-1915.

He lived in the home from about 1915 to his death in 1944 with his wife, Lavinia, and children, Miriam, Irving, Robert, Curtis, and Jennie.
