Family History

In the 1920s and 1930s, this was the home of Elmer Kramer (1887-1953) and his wife, Mary Stauble Kramer (1888-1941). The couple married in 1915 and raised their six children in this home; Robert, Elmer, Arthur, Howard, Mary and William. Mr. Kramer was a cement contractor and owned a gravel pit. In 1930 the house was valued at $15,000, the equivalent of $267,511 today.
