Family History
This home was built for Ira J. Farote (1886-1960) and his wife Pearl (1886-1961) in 1915 a few years after they were married in 1907. Ira worked as an insurance agent, real estate agent and building contractor at different points in his career. The couple was childless and lived in the home until the late 1930s.
At the time of Pearl’s death, just three months after the death of her husband, Pearl passed away in a different house at her own hands. Read the newspaper account below of her tragic passing.
