Family History
This was the home of James McNulty (1885-1934). He married Minnie Pilkington (1887-1963) in 1906. The couple had six children, Sterling, Thompson, Clifford, Ethel, Robert and Buddy. James was a trucker who sadly, died in an accident.
“Jim McNulty, 45, trucking contractor of 1320 South Cedar, was almost instantly killed about 7:45, o’clock this morning when he lost control of his heavily loaded cotton seed truck at the intersection of Dago Lane and East Fourth and it crashed into a telephone pole. As the machine struck the telephone pole the body of the truck carrying seven tons of cotton seed crashed into and collapsed the cab, crushing Mr. McNulty between the back of cab and the steering wheel.”
