Family History

From the 1930s to the 1970s, this was the home of the Burton family. Captain Cosper C. Burton (1882-1950) was a medical doctor who called the house his residence and also his place of practice. He lived here with his wife, Jennie Marie Elder Burton (1888-1973), and her aunt. The couple had one son, Basil, who lived in the home as adult before his death of a heart attack at age 40.
