Family History

This was the home of the Fritz family. William Fritz was born in Germany in 1858. He came to America in 1882, married Rosa in 1888, and got a job as a brick burner. Rosa was a seamstress. The couple lived in this tiny home with three of their six adult children, Albert, Rosa and August., all in their 30s and unmarried. The family owned the home, and they pooled their money by pitching in with expenses. August was a machine finisher at a paper mill, Rose work in the box shop at a glass factory, and Albert was a crane operator at a lead plant. He started work work there at age 15 as a water boy, worked himself up the ranks, and was employed there for 40 years. He was a WWI veteran. I thought he might have died of lead poisoning, but I found no death certificate.
