Family History

This was the home of Thomas S. Sparks (1883-1942) and his wife Flora (1882-1979). The couple married in 1915 and never had children. THomas worked as an electrician for an automobile manufacturer. After his death in 1942 at the age of 59 from bladder cancer, Flora continued to live in the home. She owned the home outright, but to earn income, she gave music lessons out of the home.
