c.1920 West Virginia Fixer Upper For Sale $58K – Old Coal Company Home
March 30, 2024
OHU50K Notes $58,000
Well, it appears the owners of this three bedroom, two bath West Virginia fixer upper for sale for $58K have a sense of humor. The home is in a flood zone and we can see the exterior damage in the photos. But note the “Beach House” sign with oars over the damage. The home is across the road from Mate Creek. In addition, the plumbing does not hold positive pressure. It is a shame, because the house is an attractive home , and it looks like the owners put a lot of money into it.
It is located in a small town in the Appalachian Mountains named for a Seneca Indian chief. The coal mining town (pop.581) has many old coal camp houses in the holler. In fact, this house appears to be one of the old coal company homes for management staff. You can see it in the Youtube video below at 2:08.
