From just before 1930 to 1951, this was the home of Charles E. Stanton (1888-1951) and his wife, Jane Gillette Stanton (1889-1968). Charles was the chief clerk for the North Central Railroad Company. He had one son, Harold, by his first wife, Lucy Williams Stanton.  She died in 1924 at the age of 34.
