OHU50K NOTES
Galax is a great little town in the western part of Virginia near the North Carolina border.
The surrounding countryside is gorgeous, and the town itself sits along the New River and is a blue-grass music center. My son owns a house in a neighboring town, and Galax is the hub of the area with plenty of shopping, restaurants and music shops. Trails, waterfalls, kayaking and tubing opportunities abound, but jobs are not plentiful. Also, this home, although high on a sloping 0.4 acre, is opposite Chestnut Creek, which is prone to flooding. The other issue is that the bulk of the 4.8 property is an all-wooded 4.0 acre parcel behind another property.

REALTOR COMMENTS
Well built home in need of repair. Excellent location in Galax City. Private setting yet close to everything. Home is on a 0.4 acre lot but includes another all wooded 4 acres in behind another property. Buy and then resell the additional 4 acres. Property being sold ”as is, where is” with no repairs or inspections paid by the seller.
