Family History

The Miller family were living in this Alabama Craftsman home as early as 1929 per a newspaper article of that same year, so disregard the realtor’s 1935 build date. In fact, Mrs Miller had entered the local Yard and Garden Contest that year.

John Fred Miller, Jr (1889-1967) married Dorothy Rowell (1897-1991) in 1923 and purchased this home soon after. The couple raised their children, Louise and Fred, in the home which they owned for at least four decades.
