I don’t know why, but this little fixer upper just appealed to me. Maybe it was the brick path through the ivy, or the pantry. Perhaps it was the arched doorways or the vintage kitchen cupboards.

I know it wasn’t the clawfoot tub. While I love the look of them, utilitarian wise, I never want one again. My husband salvaged a few antique tubs, and took out the newer tubs so both of our bathrooms had clawfoot tubs. They had the same type of shower surround as this house has. You put two shower curtains on the circular rod and as soon as the water runs, you are suction cupped into the curtains. Also, when I had back issues, it was difficult to climb over the high walls of the tub. Well, maybe I’d have one bathroom with a clawfoot.
