c.1949 Houseboat For Sale in Saint Paul MN Reduced
Saint Paul, Minnesota $39,900 Reduced to $24,900
OHU50K NOTES
Here is something different – a c.1949 houseboat for sale built by Gordy Miller. The antique boat was previously used as a vacation boat and boasts a bright red paint job and rooftop sundeck. Hardwood floors and wood paneling grace the interior. The houseboat sleeps up to four on a double platform bed and a fold-down couch. Seafarers can cook in the galley kitchen and take a hot shower in the three-quarter head.
Growing up, my family had a series of boats. One of them was a Combo Cruiser. The crazy little water craft was a combination houseboat/RV that might have been great on a lake, but it slugged along the Great South Bay to Fire Island like a bath tub bobbing in the water. We loved it anyway. It had a 90 HP stern drive engine, bathroom, rooftop deck and kitchen. My mom made a lasagna dinner in that kitchen. We never really used it as a travel trailer, except in the driveway for teenage sleepovers, but we enjoyed it as a houseboat for years until my dad traded it in for a Thunderbird tri-hull with a lot more power.
