History
Dames Quarter Methodist Church originally was built in 1854 and remodeled in 1916. It burned to the ground during a storm in 1957. The building and all its contents were lost in the fire. The church was rebuilt in 1958 and was dedicated debt free in 1962. At the time of its dedication, it was renamed Somerset Untied Methodist Church.
Among a few others, several members of the Baker, Watson and White families are buried here. James White was the last burial. He died in 1963. The earliest stone is from 1873.
