Realtor Comments
Built in 1906 and 1907 by the Bauch Family, this historic home has 3 bedrooms, 1/2 bath, incredible original woodwork, transom windows and tall ceilings. It was purchased by community volunteers to turn into a community center and has held many fundraisers over the years. It had been used as the Cabool History Museum, served as a meeting place for several clubs, a dining hall, a place for showers and wedding receptions, art exhibits and craft shows, and was used as city hall for a short time. It was the first house in Cabool made from solid cement blocks, which were made near the premises. With some renovations, this house could become a beautiful home again, or use as a tearoom, bed & breakfast, AirBnB, boutique, restaurant, or use for seating and bring in food trucks! It sits on a spacious lot in Downtown Cabool, with large trees and access to the alley, so you could have extra parking and space for a patio. String up some lights and have some music playing, and the historic Bauch House could become a popular local destination. Whether it’s turned into a home or business, it would be wonderful for this piece of history to be brought back to life and be a centerpiece for the community again!
