The second or third owners of this house were Harold G.(1886-1960) and Bessie Fahrer Holliday (1893-1941). The couple married in 1909 and owned the home by 1925, living here with their children, Violet, Gordon, George and Betty.  They apparently answered the newspaper ad below, paying around $4,000 for the home.

Harold, who went by the name Gordon, supported his family as a machinist for the steam railroad. Bessie was seven year younger than her husband, but she died in the home 20 years before her spouse after a long illness.
