In the 1920s at least into the late 1940s, this home was owned by Joshua Warren and his wife Emma. The couple had four daughters, Emma, Helen, Claudine and Grace. Joshua supported his family with various jobs over the years, the most notable as a janitor in the public schools system. Per the 1930 US Census, the home was valued at $4,000 that year, the equivalent of $69,000 in today’s dollars. Below is a high school photo of the youngest Warren daughter, Grace.
