Sold – Circa 1900 Fixer Upper For Sale in VT $40K
OHU50K NOTES. $40,ooo Sold
The Routier family must be turning over in their graves to see the mess of a fixer upper their beloved home has become. Vermont homes have become increasingly difficult to find under our price constraints. I guess this is what we can now expect for $40K in Vermont, but what happened to this poor home?? To its credit, the home’s front facade is original, and the staircase and moldings are stunning. After that, I don’t know what DIY insanity is going on. The crazy overpass connects the house to the carriage house, but is impossible to make heads or tails of this foreclosed house.
This 4 bedroom, 2 bathroom fixer upper on .47 acres needs a lot of work to bring it back to its former glory. The house is across the street from the Department of Public Works Garage and on the same street as the Marble Valley Regional Correctional Facility. This foreclosure is being sold as-is. All information is from public records and should be verified by buyer. Only Adults will be allowed access and will be required to sign a Hold Harmless Form prior to showing. It will be buyer’s responsibility to obtain a Certificate of Occupancy prior to being able to occupy the property. – Per Realtor

In 1917, the family suffered some hardships, including Edmund’s surgery and son William’s case of typhoid fever.
