Family History
From the time this 1910 bungalow was built, this was the home of Gustav Jacob. He was born in 1861 in Saxony, Germany. Gustav was a boiler maker for the railroad and an amateur photographer along with his son Alfred. In addition to Alfred, Gustav lived in this home with his wife Emma and children Martha, Elsa, Helen and Gustav Jr. It appears that only Martha ever married. After Gustav died in 1934 and Emma in 1946, the single adult children continued to live in the home at least until the late 1950s.
