Family History
This was the home of the Connor family. William J. Connor (1879-1934) married Catherine Schebe in 1907, and the couple raised three children here, Grace, Christine and William Jr.(who went by James). William Sr. was a treasury for the township and a court clerk. He passed away in the home at the age of 54 in 1934, and services were held in the living room. His wife, Catherine, continued to live in the home, which was owned outright, with her son until the late 1940s. She worked as a warehouse clerk during those years.
