Family History

In the 1920s and ’30s, this was the home of James Thompson and his wife Jennie. Jim was a truck driver for the oil refinery company. The couple raised two daughters in the home, Thelma and Margaret. In 1930 the property was valued at $6,000, the equivalent of $102,000 in current U.S. dollars. Back then the area was known as the South Sugar Creek, but today the property is in a mixed residential/commercial neighborhood.
