Family History
This home has many stories throughout its history. Before it was sold to the Yost family in 1969, the house was owned by the Norfolk & Western Railway Company. In 1977, Jerry and Beverly Yost brought home a baby boy to this home from St. Mary’s hospital. The couple’s 17-year-old daughter Tammy backed out of her driveway in 1982 and hit and injured a six-year-old girl who had slipped on ice into the path of the car. Tammy’s sister, Teena Lynn, had her bridal shower in the home two years later. Per ancestry.com, the Yosts lived in the home at least until 1993.
