OHU50K NOTES $50,000 Sold
Circa 1945 blue on blue two bedroom, one bath, basic bungalow in Tuscumbia, Alabama. Despite the thriving, beautiful blue hydrangea, I feel the bonkers real estate market has priced this too high. What do you think?

I love these houses! My daughter and I want to to a less expensive state. Between georgi, tenneessee, and maybeWV or VM WE are the poor on benefits and can’t live in NV anymore.

Yes, adorable house but overpriced. I do admit that I’m not in Oklahoma so not familiar w/ the market in this specific area.

I moved from this area over 20 years ago, so maybe the real estate market there IS hot, but I would say this house is overpriced. There is really nothing to Tuscumbia that would warrant the price tag. When I house hunted there, I saw houses much bigger and nicer for about $60k and under. Now that was in the late 90s. Now that I’ve got that out of the way — Tuscumbia is a pretty cool little place. The downtown is very Mayberry and it is the site of Ivy Green, Helen Keller’s childhood home. They probably still perform The Miracle Worker at Ivy Green every year. Tuscumbia is one of the Quad Cities, with Sheffield, Muscle Shoals (of Rock and Roll recording studio fame), and Florence (the biggest of the cities and by comparison a pretty active place). The Tennessee River separates Florence from the other three, and the area has stunning natural beauty. It would be worth trying to bargain this little house down for a shot at all that.
