Fixer Upper Bungalow in Coffeyville, KS $30K – Pending
OHU50K Notes $30,000 Pending
The handyman special has had several updates, some unfortunate, but the exterior has stayed true to its turn-of-the-century roots. The inside looks more like a grandma’s house where one of the three little pigs built a massive fireplace of rocks and the big bad wolf came in and ransacked the place. Still, the hardwood floors, built-ins and tiled fireplace are worthy of a thoughtful restoration, and I especially love the imbricated shingles and front gable window!

Family History
Henry and Elizabeth Seymour are likely turning over in their graves to see their beautiful home in such condition. The couple had the home built for them and their son Ernest sometime around 1899. Henry was a millwright, but it seems he was not living in the home with Elizabeth and Ernest by 1906.
