Circa 1912 Fixer Upper in Little Rock, AR $50K – Pending
OHU50K Notes $50,000 Pending
Disregard the realtor’s build date of 1930. Per newspaper articles and the US Census, the Bowers family was living here as early as 1912. Located on a corner lot, the three bedroom, two bath home is in sad shape due to neglect and DIY er ineptitude. The lot next to the home is included, plus the median listing price in this neighborhood is $124,000, so $50K may or may not be an outlandish price for this property.

Family History
Harry Ashworth Bowers (1885-1938) and his wife Marguerite Eppert Bowers married in 1907. Sometime in 1912, the couple rode up to this house in their two-seated rubber-tired surrey pulled by their good horse and fell in love with this home. They purchased it, and raised their children, Evelyn, Margaret and son Billie, here on Harry’s salary as an accountant and assistant manager for a grocery commission company.
