Off Market – House in North Carolina If You Can Move It
OHU50K Notes Off Market
Here is a free house, if you have the money and a lot to move it to. The 1,125 square foot home was moved once before in the 1970s. It is small and low enough that moving costs should be on the lower end if you have a lot nearby. For resources on moving a house, click here.

Structure Must be Moved to be Saved
Available for free if you can cover the cost of moving it to a new home!
This 1,125 square foot (25 feet by 45 feet) cottage was built in the 1930s in White Lake, a few blocks away from the water tower. It was moved to its current lakeside location outside of White Oak in the 1970s so that a larger home could be built on the original plot in White Lake.
The cottage features a full length screened-in front porch with double front doors, 4 living/sleeping rooms of similar size, and a kitchen and bathroom in the rear of the building, with wood paneling throughout the interior.
The land where the cottage currently sits will soon be home to a new State Natural Area, and the cottage needs to be relocated before the property is transferred into state ownership. The current owners are aware of local mover who may be able to assist with moving the property.
There is no public access to the site to view the property. Please contact The Conservation Fund if you are interested in a viewi
