Let’s try this again… In my first go ’round, I responded to 300 inquiries. It became a full-time job for a little while, so I am going to streamline this a bit. If this doesn’t work out, I’ll probably have to go through a realtor and the price will likely go up to cover other costs. There have been many interested people and three deals fell through as they were being made. Such is the nature of Marketplace.

I was going to sell the house with a primary residence covenant on the deed, but after some thought, I think selling as a single family residence is a fine idea. That way a landlord or flipper can have a shot at it, knowing that it cannot be split up into smaller units. This will rub some people the wrong way, and some of you might ask how I can tell people what they can do with something they own, but I would like to remind you that I own this, and I will be selling to someone who is agreeable to this condition. I’m not interested in making anyone do something they don’t want to do, but this is being sold as a one family, one unit home. Just a note since someone brought this to my attention. Yes, the house experienced flooding like every other house on Rt 80 from Van Hornesville Fort Plain. It never reached the first floor and the dirt floor of the cellar let the waters out quickly. This is all part of the showing, but someone thought it was important to put in the post.
