This old house is located in Rising City, Nebraska (pop. 374). The town was established in 1878 when the Omaha and Republican Valley Railway came through.  Rising City was named for A. W. and S. W. Rising, the original owners of the town site. 

It is a shame the windows have been altered to make this old house appear like a tract house. The roofline appears as if it might originally have had a widow’s walk on top.
