Huge c.1898 Victorian Home For Sale Upstate New York $180K
OHU50K Notes $180,000
Located on a corner 0.42 acre lot, this huge Victorian home for sale has five bedrooms, 3.5 baths, 5,230 square feet. The stained glass and staircase are the wow factors in this c.1898 residence. Pocket doors, some hardwood floors, beautiful fireplace mantels and clawfoot tubs also fill the space. The house seems to go on forever. An addition was built to connect the original carriage house, but the front and side of the home now look like a discombobulated kaleidoscope of styles. Plenty of room for the extended family, though.

Family History
Mrs. Adelene “Addie” Konik, 82, passed away Saturday at Wells Nursing Home in Johnstown. She was born August 18, 1926 in Endicott, NY, daughter of the late Anthony and Anna Picciano Mastrangelo-Roach. She was a graduate of Union-Endicott High School. Following her marriage August 21, 1948 to John C. Konik Sr., she relocated to Gloversville in 1952, where she spent most of her life. A homemaker until her children were adolescent, she was active in Brownies and was a Girl Scout Leader while her daughters were young. She was active in PTA and volunteering at Gloversville Little League baseball throughout her children’s school years. Addie was a sales clerk at the former Britts Department Store and for many years she was a buyer and manager in housewares at the former Argersinger Department Store in Gloversville until retirement.A dependable and devoted volunteer, Addie was a member of Sacred Heart Church and served as president of the rosary society for many years. She also was a long time member of Nathan Littauer Hospital Auxiliary and various other community groups. Following her husband’s retirement in 1986, they enjoyed many years spending winter in Port Charlotte, Florida, where they continued forming new friendships and enjoying retirement. Perhaps her greatest joy was family, especially her grandchildren, with whom she spent a great deal of time.
