As with most old houses, or fixer uppers, this old place is great in size! What I’ve now learned beyond the Cosmetic work, is nearly $10,000 worth of major systems repair. Everything from a chimney liner and cap, to gutters and downspouts all around, some electrical work, some plumbing work, and some heater and hot water tank replacement issues. Couldn’t get a 203K rehab mortgage loan. I’m doing FHA 30-year fixed at 6.25%. I’ll have to rent out a couple of those rooms to help pay for repairs. I got an excellent homeowners policy on it though for under $1,000 a year. It’s a great little town for such a big house. Good neighbors all around! Excited to make the move in late april. I’ve looked at quite a few old houses under 50K on your website and Facebook page in my search. I settled on this property in Rossiter, Pennsylvania. But while I was looking I noticed in the past month several of the properties that I have looked at have gone pending or under agreement. I love your site and have referred tons of people to it and old houses under 100k. We live in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, and real estate values here are absolutely ridiculously inflated. 400,000 for a city row home! I got three times the house for 49,500! I’m one happy camper. And, by the way I don’t think the Bears in Indiana County Pennsylvania will be shooting anyone or each other! I am so happy to get out of homicide City Philadelphia Pennsylvania!
