Some readers have been asking for more move-in ready old houses under $50K. My preferences lie in flaky paint and original kitchens, but I aim to please. Usually there is a trade off, however, with move-in ready properties under $50K. Oftentimes they are either investment properties that have been remuddled with no hint of original elements or in high crime neighborhoods.

This move-in ready home is an anomaly in that it is in a lower crime neighborhood and, although plain, does have a few original features. Plus, it offers newer siding, windows, furnace and water heater and comes with appliances.

I’m not digging its view of parking lots, but at this price, you can’t have everything.
