Looking at the Google Map street view, if I didn’t know any better, I might think this neighborhood was in Detroit or Saint Louis. So many beautiful brick buildings left vacant. This one was the corner store for the Oak Street neighborhood. It reminds me of the commercial building we featured yesterday in Pilot Grove, Missouri, only that building was in much better shape. Despite its condition, however, I see beauty in the brickwork, storefront windows and doors, tin ceilings, crown molding, hanging fixtures, wainscoting and hardwood floors.  (It looks like the owner was using the building to store architectural salvage.)

It’s ready for you to turn into something amazing. First floor possible retail and apartment above or a really big recreation room on the main floor. Other heating and water heater are none.
