Family History
The home was originally owned by W. B. Stevens who sold his “fine residence” to Mr. Cummel of Laclede, Missouri, for $4,500 in 1892. As you can see by the 1916 Sanborn Map below, the home originally had a wrap-around porch which now has been closed in and altered.
