Family History

After the death of her husband, Oliver, in 1940, Annie Power (1896-1990) moved her large family to this home where they lived perhaps until 1990.  In the 1950s, the oldest of her nine children helped support the home along with the inheritance and business left by Oliver who owned a car dealership. Children were Samuel, Joseph, Perry, Mary, Thomas, Lilly Bell, Lena Dell, Hettie and Helen, many of whom received college educations.
