Family History
Earl McGraw (1889-1955) was a salesman for Hoover vacuums. He married Gladys Snyder (1898-1968) in 1922, and after they had their son Gerald in 1932, they purchased this house. Earl was listed as Candy Earl McGraw on his WWI and WWII draft registrations. Son Gerald became a reverend with a doctorate in religion. Gladys continued to live in the home until her death in 1968.
Before the Mcgraws owned the house, J. M. Mehr owned it, but I couldn’t find further info on him other than he filed a building permit for a roof in 1928. McGraw did the same in 1948 and also a permit for a porch.
