Family History

From the 1920s to the late 1950s, this was the home of the Levin family. Isaac Peter Levin (1867-1945) emigrated from Poland in 1884, and married his wife, Kate Natelson (1873-1958) in 1892. The couple had two sons, Abraham and Mayer. Mr. Levin was one of the founders of Levin Brothers, whole merchants.  It appears that a similar house next door may have been owned by another of the Levin brothers, but it has since been demolished. In the 1960s, a series of unfortuante additions and alterations fowled up the cosmetics of this once grand Queen Anne.
