Family History

This was the home of Lyman A. Pray (1868-1933) from at least 1900 per the 1900 US Census. Lyman was a life insurance agent who lived in the home with his wife Emily Eaton Pray (1872-1952) and children James, Mary, Robert and Martha.

After the death of Lyman in 1933, the family continued to live in the home. In fact, after Emily passed away in 1952, son Robert inherited the house and life insurance business. He lived there with his wife Magella, and children Joanne and Robert Jr. In total, the Pray family owned the home for about seven decades.
