Family History
The realtor’s build date of 1922 is off as the home was owned by James Jackson Chambers (1874-1950) in 1920. James married Julia May Schall (1870-1962) in 1905, and in the 1910s had this house built. James was a hard worker and, in addition to a small inheritance from his mother, had saved enough money from his job as a machinist at Schofields Iron Works to purchase the house with cash. The couple had numerous nieces and nephews, but no children.
