Town History
Nevada, Missouri (pop. 8,607), has a name that intrigued me, so I did a bit of research. Apparently, the town was originally named and platted as Hog Eye in 1855. The name (thankfully) was later changed to Nevada by circuit and county clerk DeWitt C. Hunter, after Nevada City, California, where Hunter had been a gold miner.

REALTOR COMMENTS
Fix up this Victorian to call your own. Original features include gorgeous hardwood pocket doors between the living room and dining room. Hardwood floors throughout the home. The home feels very solid and almost all places. Basically, good bones, but make no mistake, it is a fixer upper, but can be beautiful. The staircase is in good condition. The house is being sold “as is”. Check out the key at the office for showings. Call before you go.
