Family History

Street numbers were changed over the decades, but I believe this was the home of Frank C. Allen (1884-1961), a pharmacist and drug store owner. Frank and his wife Kitty Adalena Erwin Allen married in 1912, moved to North English and purchased this home the same year. Although the couple had no children, Kitty had a  “kind, generous and sympathetic nature” and often befriended the children of friends and family. Frank and Kitty lived here their entire married life until Kitty’s death in 1949.
