Details
We are offering a truly unique, turn-of-the-century home with worlds of potential. The home was acquired in an effort to ensure it is not torn down, so we are hoping to sell it to someone who cares about its preservation as much as we do. The home was built as a 3/1 and sits on slightly over a quarter acre. The attic is spacious and there’s plenty room below the house for expansion with a basement that looks to have been partly finished at one point. The lot is also large enough to potentially accommodate an additional structure such as a garage. The house was built around 1900 and offers many of the original crafts features, with an aesthetic that could be described as mission meets Art Deco.
Condition
It is structurally very sound, though will need a total restoration or renovation. It looks as though the master was originally at the back of the house with a sleeping porch that can be seen in the photos of the back of the house. The porch extends across the entire back and would also be accessible from what was originally the kitchen. But of course, the house can be reconfigured in many ways to suit your needs. Most of the initial site preparation has been done, with a substantial amount of debris and overgrown landscaping removed. The photos are a fair representation of the house in its current condition. Please review those carefully before inquiring. The house is being offered in as-is condition.
Location
The neighborhood is quiet and walkable with other preservation activity on the street. Mercer Village and campus is an easy walk or bike ride, and all of the new downtown redevelopment is accessible via bicycle or a quick car ride. Please do not enter the house without first scheduling a time. And serious inquiries only. As was mentioned, we do not require any assistance in selling the home. This is a unique opportunity for a house of this age, style and in this condition with a huge corner lot and alley access. Hopefully you will appreciate it as much as we do. Thank you and best of luck!

Poor old thing, my goodness. The porch pillars and porch ceiling are magnificent. I hope it finds a buyer who will lovingly restore it.

Total gut job. Asking price is way to high for the condition of this property.
Donald Stafford
I can restore your lovely house with good bones, willing to commit to a full restoration. After personally inspecting it, we will both know weather my 30 years of restoration is a fit, it’s calling me.
