Save This Old House – c.1910 Fixer Upper in Lost Creek, WV Under $20K

OHU50K NOTES

Save this old house. When the Google Map photo below was taken in 2018, the house did not have boarded up windows. Driving down the Jennings Randolph Highway, you can see the house as it sits on a hill.As local lore has it, a tree stood on the banks of a small creek with the words and initials, “I AM LOST – K.D.” Next to the tree was found the skeleton of a man!  Legend has it that this is how the Harrison County town of Lost Creek got its name.

The showstoppers in this house are the multiple fireplace mantels. Almost every room has a mantel, with tiles, too. Three of the mantels even have green tiles!

The wall paintings are cute; if I bought the house I’d keep them! And tThe fireplaces are absolutely beautiful.
