Save This Old House ~ c.1950 Home For Sale in Winnsboro, SC $44K
OHU50K NOTES
Save this old house. It’s pretty gross, but I see potential. The neighborhood is very attractive in appearance, although adjacent to a high crime area.
Save this old house.Built circa 1950 of Winnsboro Blue granite on 5/8 of an acre, this home is a fixer-upper’s dream and has many bushes and trees that need pruning but could be lovely. The neighborhood is very inviting and desirable. Although substantial remodeling and repair are in order, the stone shell of the building appears to be sound and the roof is fairly new. Power and water are available from the Town of Winnsboro; cable is also available. Water damage to some ceilings and floors occurred prior to the roof replacement. All of the living space, three bedrooms, two baths, living room, dining room, kitchen and utility room is on the approximately 1, 600 square foot first floor. The walk-up stairway to a large but unfinished attic presents space that is begging to be utilized other than for storage. The furnace is located in the cellar and the duct work appears to be sound but there is no central air conditioning in place.
This location is a ten-minute walk from downtown Winnsboro. There is easy access to Columbia, SC and Charlotte, NC via I-77 while US 321 provides direct access to central Columbia, SC and to I-20. This could be a lovely home in a lovely neighborhood in a town with rapidly rising home prices, a fixer-upper’s dream as an investment or as a project for a longer term resident. Being sold As Is .

This house went back on the market on 5/12 – same price. And, yes. Gross. But it has a lot of potential!

I dont like the word gross, but “rough” would suffice. I would love to get my hands on this house if it was closer to my family.
