OHU50K NOTES

Save this old house. The realtor’s build date of 1930 is incorrect, because, per US Census records, Roland S. Bailey (1885-1959) and his family owned the home since the 1910s. Roland was an assistant manger for a lumber company. I love the small details I found. At the time Roland owned the home, he was described as a tall man of medium build with blue eyes and brown and gray hair.  He lived here with his wife Edna and his children Kent and Rose. Edna was a member of The Women’s Christian Temperance Union and often held meetings at her home.
By the 1950s, the home had been divided into apartments, the top renting for $50/month in 1959.
I can only assume that the house originally had more property, because it is now surrounded by 1930s bungalows and a 1960s subdivision of ranch houses.  This property might be a hard sell due to its condition and the high crime neighborhood.
