Family History
From the 1940s to the late 1960s, this was the home of Richard Wayne Crabtree (1907-1965). Mr. Crabtree was a Navy vet of World War II and the owner of Southern Shell Service Station and Restaurant. He lived in the home with his wife, Nell, along with his mother-in-law and sister-in-law, until he suffered his second heart attack at the age of 57 in 1965.
