Family History

This sweet cottage was originally owned by Charles F. Shaver (1871-1959), owner of a grocery store. In 1900, Charles carried his new bride, Mary Kemper (1874-1909) over the threshold of this cottage. Sadly, in 1909 Mary passed away. The next year, Charles married Louella Mae Parks (1876-1968). The couple had five children, Charles, Dorothy (stillborn), Mary, Harriet and Francis.
