Under $100K Sunday ~ c.1869 Gothic Revival in Berlin NY $100K ~ Sold
54 S Main St, Berlin, NY 12022 $100,000 ~ Sold
OHU50K NOTES
Gothic Revival houses were popular between 1840 and 1870. The high-speed mechanical scroll saw, wisely used by the 1840s, made producing ornate ornamentation much easier. This c.1869 Gothic Revival doesn’t have much in the way of gingerbread, but I love the finials and the slate roof! Inside, that bathtub and arched doors are wonderful, too.
Berlin is a quaint hamlet with some lovely older homes. You will like the fact that the area has virtually no crime. You may not like the real estate taxes, but for New York State, $255 per month is not bad.
