This appears to be a match for a David S. Hopkins mail-order architect’s design. It is design #56 from the architect’s series of pattern books Houses and Cottages, from around 1893.

I have included a drawing of the stick style #56 below, as well as a photo of another example of a house sold in Vermont.

This home has the potential to be a show stopper if restored. Let’s hope someone sympathetic to historic preservation and not remodeling gets her.
